We are excited about our final workshop of 2020, "Neurobiology in Action: Befriending the Anxious Nervous System". This upbeat, active workshop offers clinicians a working model for understanding the mammalian nervous system in order to enhance safety, bonding, and playfulness with clients; all valuable components for working with trauma survivors, couples, or anxious individuals.

The Polyvagal Theory comes to life through the use of animal models and activities designed to teach, experience, and detect subtle changes in the nervous system that can increase client ease and engagement.

Upon workshop completion participants can expect to:

  • Develop a heightened sense of shifts in nervous system that indicate safety, danger, or numbing.
  • Learn useful ways to teach this useful model to clients; allowing them to shift from harsh self-judgment to self-acceptance and inner kindness.
  • Have friendly take-home activities to use with individuals or groups.
  • Experience an un-zoomy Zoom workshop
  • Empower clients with options for self- and co-regulation.

The cost of the workshop is $40.

3 Continuing Education Units are available from the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board.

We are offering two identical sessions so each session can be limited to 20 people. Participants can attend either the morning or afternoon session. You do not need to attend both.
