We are excited to announce our latest workshop, "Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: Treatment for PTSD".

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is a short-term, evidenced-based therapeutic approach that has been proven effective in the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Benefiting from an integration of multiple therapeutic philosophies, clients who receive TF-CBT are better able to process thoughts and feelings related to traumatic experiences. This allows them to effectively address the impacts of trauma that underlie PTSD and other mental health issues such as anxiety and depressive disorders.

Workshop attendees will receive training on the core components of TF-CBT: psychoeducation, stress management, affect expression and modulation, cognitive coping, and creating the trauma narrative. Time will also be spent discussing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and the topic "healing the inner child".

The workshop is free and open to the public.

Victoria Kettering is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Wright State University. She has over 17 years experience working with children and families as well as working with adults. Vicky specializes in parent training, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and play therapy.
