Training Workshop:
The Grief, Loss, and Joy of Adoption
We are excited to announce our latest workshop, The Grief, Loss, and Joy of Adoption. This workshop will cover a variety of topics pertaining to the subject of adoption, including:
- Ambiguous Loss
- Disenfranchised Grief
- Unseen Impact
Clinical Interventions for working with families and children impacted by adoption will also be discussed:
- Role Play
- Small Groups
- Therapeutic Writing Techniques
Presenter: Vicky Kettering, MS, LPCC
Counselor, New Creation Counseling Center
Vicky has undergone comprehensive training with the Center for Adoption Support and Education's Training for Adoption Competency (TAC). TAC is a comprehensive training for professionals in the mental health and child welfare fields to provide clinical knowledge and skills needed to effectively serve the adoption kinship network.
This workshop is free and open to the public.
Mental Health Professionals - 3 CEU credits for the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board are available for a fee of $15.
