We Are Expanding Our Services for Children and Adolescents!

Recently at New Creation we have experienced an increase in counseling and medication management referrals for children and adolescents, and have felt the need to increase our ability to provide these services. Because of this we are excited to announce the addition of three new clinicians to our team, all of whom specialize in the treatment of children and adolescents!

Our new staff members have allowed New Creation to improve services to clients in several ways:

We are able to see more children at our practice than has been possible in the past

The new clinicians enable New Creation to provide treatment for children of all ages instead of having to set age limits on who we can take as clients.

Scheduling your child with a counselor is now even easier as we have wider availability of intake times and days.

Our new and established child therapists can provide an even greater variety of effective, evidence-based treatment to better suit the needs of our child clients.

We already have some great child therapists on our clinical staff, including Vicky Kettering, Deborah Zunke, Vicki Russell, and Elizabeth Boblitt. Check out our staff page for details!

In addition to our new staff members, we are also reorganizing New Creation's Psychiatry department. Under the direction of Dr. Phillip Hash, a child and adolescent psychiatrist, we are working to increase the amount of psychiatry services we can provide to our clients and reduce the wait time for an initial psychiatric appointment. Our goal is to provide the best psychiatric medical care possible for the children of our community.

Meet Our New Staff!

Rebecca Hunt, LISW

Rebecca is now seeing children of all ages at our main location in Tipp City. She earned a Bachelors in Arts from Wright State University in 2004 and Masters of Social Work from University of Southern California in 2014. She has training in Play Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TFCBT), Motivational Interviewing and Problem Solving therapies. She has experience treating children of all ages, and has worked with very young children. Much of her experience has involved treating children with trauma histories and difficult home lives.

Alison Allport, LPC

Alison is a graduate of Wright State University and Cedarville University. Her experience includes counseling children, teenagers and adults in a variety of settings including group therapy, school therapy and foster care. Alison uses a range of approaches including play therapy, worksheets, books, crafts, and family involvement. Her goal is help children work through their problems in a way best suited to their stage of development and communication style. Alison can see children at our Fairhaven Church Satellite office in Centerville, Ohio.

Sandra Todd, PsyD

Sandra will be seeing children of all ages out of our new East Dayton satellite office. She has more than 20 years of experience treating individuals and families. She is board certified in clinical psychology and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology at Boston Children’s Hospital. In addition to her work at New Creation Counseling Center, she is on staff at Dayton Children’s Hospital. Dr Todd has a heart for serving the people living in East Dayton, and because of this passion New Creation was able to partner with her to open our newest office at New Hope Church on Xenia Avenue.
